The former head of Amsterdam’s Murder brigade is found dead. He was 81 years old, why not let nature take its course? The investigation leads to Amsterdam’s infamous Red Light District, Spain, Belgium and The Hague as the investigation widens until the squad stumble on a past so dark that those involved will stop at nothing to halt the investigation as more murders come to light.

The underbelly of Amsterdam is brought vividly to life by an author who worked in the Legal Profession in The Netherlands for many years and who has been involved in some of the country’s major cases of the last twenty years. Many of the characters are based on real people and real events.

The book is the first of a trilogy.
