Vacancies at Amsterdam Publishers
We publish non-fiction and fiction books on the Holocaust and we are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals to join our team of international interns. We also do book promotion. We take pride in doing this well, but need an extra hand for our ever-expanding portfolio of Holocaust literature. The social media feeds are always hungry for content. Book promotion is very time-consuming and we need people who can manage our social media channels, or create content.
At the moment, we have one paid vacancy:
Publishing assistant for two days a week
- tasks: helping out the publisher with all sorts of technical jobs, implement data, social media marketing
- Applicant needs to come in once a week, so area Leiden is preferable. The other day he/she can work remote
- required: affinity with the topic of the Holocaust
- required: fluent in English. Preferable a native English speaker.
Applicants need to do a test day. A CV always needs to be accompanied by a letter of motivation.
We have unpaid vacancies for:

A proofreader is the last person to read the book and his / her task is to spot the last small errors and typos in a text. Fluency in English is a prerequisite.
Applicants always get a test manuscript to assess their editing skills.
Please note an internship is an unpaid position
A second language is desirable, although not essential. We also publish in Italian, Spanish, French, German, so being fluent in any of those languages, including Slovak, Russian and Portuguese, we might also have something for you. All work by the publisher as well as interns is done online, so you can work from home. You will sign a brief agreement.
