Mickey Huibregtsen

Mickey Huibregtsen (1940) is an engineer by training. Prior to joining McKinsey & Company in 1970 he was responsible for the structural design of a submarine for the Dutch Navy and the General Manager of the Gas Turbine division of Stork and as such involved in the building of the World’s largest oil booster station in the middle of the desert in Iran.

As a senior partner of McKinsey & Company worldwide (1970-1998) he counseled most of the top 50 companies in The Netherlands and half of the government departments as well as many clients elsewhere in Europe and in the USA.

He launched a wide array of public initiatives in business, science, education, health care, media and sports to enhance overall performance both in quantitative and qualitative results. Amongst many other roles he was Chairman of the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF) from 1990 to 1998.
