Before the last voices are gone
Preserving Holocaust stories for future generations
Since 2012, I have published more than 150 true Holocaust stories by survivors, child survivors, and second- and third-generation authors from around the world. Together, these books bear witness not only to the Holocaust itself, but also to its enduring impact across generations.
As the survivor generation passes away, preserving these testimonies has become increasingly urgent. Every memoir safeguards a unique personal history that might otherwise be lost. I publish these voices with historical integrity and deep respect for the people behind them, helping to ensure that their experiences remain part of our collective memory.
These books are more than accounts of persecution. They reveal resilience, courage, humanity, and the determination to rebuild lives after unimaginable loss. They remind us that history is not only made up of events, but of individuals whose stories deserve to be remembered.
Authentic testimony is one of the most powerful ways to foster empathy, deepen understanding, and preserve memory. Through these books, I hope readers will reflect on the consequences of hatred, indifference, and prejudice.
My mission is simple: to ensure that these voices continue to be heard, read, and remembered.
“We are in a dark place now. What we are seeing today is not new. It’s the oldest hatred – repackaged, disguised, and brought into the mainstream.
In today’s polarized climate, antisemitism thrives, often cloaked in the language of social justice or political critique. It feeds on misinformation and ignorance.
More than ever, Holocaust stories matter. They remind us, starkly, of where antisemitism can lead.”Liesbeth Heenk · Philadelphia · 29 June 2025
